ATTACK OF THE CLONE TABZ!

In short we might see nightlies popping out of the buildservers for following Samsung Tablets:

Galaxy Tab 2 7″
GT-P3100
GT-P3110
GT-P3113

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″
GT-P5100
GT-P5110
GT-P5113

Actually there are zero know bugs and the speed boost CM9 gives to this tablets is amazing.

If you can’t wait any longer, i’m providing some testbuilds on XDA.

    Thanks Guys, awesome job :D .

    I’ve come across two minor bugs:
    1. Display Brightness doesn’t seem to change with change in readings from the light sensor. I can conform the light sensor is functional though.

    2. Using the dialer on the P3100 causes the call to work only on the loudspeaker (speakerphone) and not the built in earpiece. Clicking on the speakerphone button has no effect.

    Got my Samsung Tab 2 5100 last week and immediatly got CM9 on it when I noticed it was available. It works great! Only issue I find is that some apps like Youtube can’t be installed from the market saying that it isn’t supported. But that’s probably more a Samsung thing than a CM9, right?
    Anyway, keep up this fantastic work!

    I noticed a lot of people saying that mic is not working for the latest build of CM09 for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0; but I notice when using the Skype Echo/Sound Test Test Service, the mic partially works. The message you record and the Skype automated voice both play back at the low volume through the speakers (the volume is louder/normal when using ear buds). The mic doesn’t work for a normal call though. I thought this might be helpful, but since I’m a newbie, I couldn’t post directly to the developers forum. I love the ROM though, even with the mic issue. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Tried to post this yesterday directly from my tablet but got rejected as Spam (??) so here goes again from my desktop pc

    Great work on the Tab2 P5100 CM9 (stable) build! SO fast ! But I think I have found a couple of bugs:

    1) Tethering (Tablet as a client) to Galaxy S2 (S2 acting as AP) not receiving IP traffic. Tablet connects to AP and gets 192.x.x.x IP address, DNS resolves but traffic not routing to tablet. (e.g. ping http://www.google.com in command shell gives pinging x.x.x.x but no reply

    (I know the SGS2 AP is ok as both linux, Windows XP, and 2 other galaxy Aces in the family all work with this setup. Affects WLAN and Bluetooth tethering with p5100 as client)

    2) Installing skype breaks GSM mobile originating calling

    After installing skype, attempting to make a mobile originating voice call fails.

    I have the CM9 dialler as GSM and also a SIP setup for when I am on WIFI

    upon using dialler after skype install, OS asks if you want to make a skype or a mobile data call .

    I select mobile data;

    OS asks if I want to make internet or GSM call;

    I select GSM;

    dialling screen pops up, single ring-tone heard from speaker / headset then…nothing no sound at all .

    call proceeds and is answered – no voice in either direction. Tablet can inject DTMF tones to line using keypad and tones are heard by called party so traffic route is there but no tablet audio to / from GSM

    so far only way to recover has been to uninstall skype then reflash “phone” (not PDA) in odin !! :( sometimes this also needs a total factory reset too. most impractical :)

    more than happy to assist in any way I can to test / fix genuine email address used on this post

    thanks in advance
