    Sorry to ask,

but what is ment by ’2stage boot’ ? Is it dual boot ?

  7. Slamieux says:

Is the RIL is still hosed for NITZ providers? Trying to figure out if it is worth my time to investigate the supposed CM9 nightly in CWM for the AT&T version.

    • Rushikh says:

Hey let me know if works for you! (I have an AT&T version as well)

      • Slamieux says:

All of the zips are corrupt – couldn’t even try if I wanted. Anyone know who is publishing it to the CWM repo?

    • MotoMudder says:

The build on rommanager is a joke, not ICS. fucktard of a dev. It doesn’t work. As for the real CM9, nitz is no longer an issue on i777. But no call audio or mic. Known issue since day one, not herring fixed without source or an i777 release.

      • Rushikh says:

So an AT&T version is basically impossible unless there is an i777 release or a kernel leak? Uggh.

  8. Denis says:

Nice man! You might know that XDA is not working for now, so i’m going to ask here how to update from yesterday’s biuld correctly. Thanks for your effort Code!

      • Diego says:

Try XXLP1 modem driver.. It worked for me.. Also now, ICS is a little bit more smart. It just enable HSPA and 3G if you don´t have any wireless available, or else, it just disable 3g.

        Regards!

  12. Sufiyan Samnani says:

Hey, codeworkx! Okay, noob alert here! A small question: What do you mean by a 2 stage boot? I tried hard to Google it, but didn’t find anything good…

  13. Luis says:

Thanks CM Team! Will flash ASAP! Still the question, does the screen autorotation work in this one, the one of yesterday screw that up in mine SGS2… ;)

    • Luis says:

Confirmed :( autorotation still don´t work!

      Anyone?

      • Luis says:

Stupid thing, shut it down, pull the baterry out for 5 min, and all is working! Sorry for this, can anyone explain me why this happens??? lol

  14. Fayez says:

How to use ADB shell?? Using Terminal is very difficult to delete libsocorex.so and libst..frighthw.so for working youtube in every new build as HW acce isn’t working

  15. Mohamed Barakeh says:

Thanks man keep up the good work!

  16. Chris Johnson says:

    Thanks!

    For those asking,

    “Single Stage Bootloader

A single stage bootloader consists of a single file that is loaded entirely by the BIOS. This image then performs the steps described above to start the kernel. However, on the x86 you are usually limited to 512 bytes for a first stage (An exception is no-emulation El-Torito), which is not much. Also, a lot of this size may be dedicated to bios structures and FAT headers, which leaves even less space to work with

    Two-Stage Bootloader
A two-stage bootloader actually consists of two bootloaders after each other. The first being small with the sole purpose of loading the second one. The second one can then contain all the code needed for loading the kernel.”
    http://wiki.osdev.org/Bootloader#Two-Stage_Bootloader

I am pretty sure this is what is, I wasnt sure my self so I google’d it.

  18. Nexus says:

Hello codeworkx and first of all thank you for the work done on the current build of Cm9, it works great for the early beta. There is one little question: why is cm9 not getting a overclockable kernel ? with the latest miui, i was able to get 1600mhz on my galaxy s2 with cpu master… but i cant live with miui so i wonder why its not implemented in cm9. Nexus

  19. tu says:

Stable as a rock Thanks :)

  20. CM lover says:

    What’s not working?

  21. KurtCobain says:

Super Arbeit Daniel.

    Danke
    Lg

  22. blair pollard says:

  33. Jivan says:

if only sopa didnt block fucking megaupload. the other websites all the links are broken . . . .

  34. D. says:

Jivan, SOPA is almost dead and had nothing to do with the Megaupload-takedown.

  35. Ira says:

Anyone knows why I won’t be able to restore the apps from Titanium to ICS? does that mean I’ll have to reconfigure all the apps from scratch?

  36. Netanel says:

Codeworkx, can you add the Samsung ics wallpapers (not live) to cm9, or as a zip to flash or as an apk?

  37. sp33d says:

yay, cm9 experimentals available in rom manager! :)
    also see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20671183

  38. Jake says:

Anonymous has it’s own upload site now.. And I guess FBI won’t be able to take that one down as easy.. Might be a possibility to upload future files to…

  39. sprite1g says:

Is there an expected date for another ROM? One that is more stable for daily use? You’re doing great work… Thanks.

  40. ogy says:

Hahahaha you are Codeworkx so cool 2045 year hahahahahaahaha:)))))))

  41. CHVASH says:

Checked and it is great. Just as comment, the GPS does not lock. Sometimes I loose data connection, not sure if this last is because of the ROM or my carrier.
However great advance, hope soon the needed source code will be released.

  42. Tom says:

Codeworkx: leaving the hardware behind and focusing only on software/community development, from your (bad I think) experience with Samsung’s current support for the developers and some changes (for better I think) with Sony-Ericsson’s attitude in this matter: if you were to choose now between buying a Samsung handset or Sony-Ericsson – which one would you buy? I know you would choose Galaxy Nexus but let’s forget about it for a while ;) .

  43. Korean says:

Hello. I am Korea GalaxyS2 User. Cm9 Is Very Wonderful. I Use Cm9 for SGS2 build 2012/01/25. I want Menu,Cancel Backlight Off. How is It Doing? ThankYou(__)

  44. ran sagy says:

Hi Daniel, sorry for bothering, but can i have your thoughts about http://tiny.cc/b34kw ?
    Sorry and thanks.

  45. asif says:

    ur builts are Excellent….

  46. Daniel Letch says:

Using the latest version, really nice. Only problem is that the calendar won’t sync with my google account. Is this a common problem? Had a look around forum n not been able to see it. Thanks.

  47. Cas says:

    This looks great!

I have the latest build, everything that I need works and if it doesn’t
I just have to download something on the market to replace it :)

The only thing is from time to time I get a error that says “Unfortunately exchange services has stopped” and when I go to the default browser it says “Unfortunately browser has stopped”

Is this happening to someone else ?

  48. Learjet says:

Sir codeworkx ive tried to flash CM9-01182012 build, just like to report a bug on bluetooth headset, getting random disconnection while playing media but on calls it is still connected.

  49. Gunninn says:

Hi guys, i’m sorry if this is a nub question but i’ve googled it and all i find is solution for EVo which doesnt be the same. but here it goes, ever since the 24-25 update i’ve been getting “car mode” turning on and off repeating, all day everyday, does anyone know whats causing this ?

    Any help is appreciated :)

    • Goran says:

Did you find a solution to this issue?
I have the same thing and I’m going crazy trying to fix it.

  50. Nexus says:

@Gunninn having the same bug with 25-25 build, seems to be an issue. Music player and Carmode spinning around with theese builds. Waiting for a fix.

  51. paksman says:

If latest builds are still considered to be experimental alpha I can only imagine how nice the stable betas with proper kernel sources will become.Great work Codeworks & TeamHacksung,I owe you a big donation

  52. LarryLars says:

Is there any language support for Chinese?

  53. Zach G says:

I am very sorry to inflict my ignorance upon you, but will this work at all with the i777 AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II? If it will not, will someone mind pointing me to it? I am very sorry if this question is stupid or obvious, but I have trouble reading the screen on my computer since I lost use of one of my eyes in a work-related accident.

    • Rushikh says:

No this will not work on your device, and an AT&T version isn’t out yet.

    • Cagatay says:

I don’t know exactly what you’re talking about but I read this way above ‘ So an AT&T version is basically impossible unless there is an i777 release or a kernel leak? Uggh..

So I guess whatever you’re looking for will not happen for sometime.
      Hope this helps…

  54. sprite1g says:

SamMobile published another leaked firmware on the 2nd of February. Any chance you got something too? Are you expecting a new build for the CM9 based on this new leak?

    Thanks.

    • codeworkx says:

do you mean LPB? we had it before sammobile got it.
seems you’re not really following progress.

  55. Rushikh says:

I hate U.S. Carriers so much, especially At&T who doesn’t care about their customers at all. Release the freaking kernels and crap! FGS.

  56. Rushikh says:

Would this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335377 allow AT&T SGSII Users to flash the CM9 ROM and work? Just wondering.

    • MotoMudder says:

No. Hellraiser is only for GB right now.
changes kernal. which is a slight issue for i777, which we need sources to fix, should be easy when we get it.
and changes some audio libs, which is the main holdback on i777 right now. tough one. i777 ICS leak would be best for this issue, but some real smart guys could possible hack something together, if they feel like it.
Yes, at&t sucks for some things.

      • Rushikh says:

Do you think that when the sources come out for the international version an i777 version can be made (CM9)

        • codeworkx says:

Sure, but that will take some time.

          • Rushikh says:

Alright, well when the sources do become available I would be happy to do tests on my devices as I heard Atinm broke his :P

          • Rushikh says:

And also, the only thing that needs to be done (major) is phone calling right? To my understanding everything that the international version has except for calling works.

  57. your fan says:

Does your CM9 mod support galaxy s2 LG U+ EI21(SHW-250L)?

  58. Joaquin says:

    Hi!

For a strange reason, XDA doesn’t load the SGS2 forum,
There are new build with secure storage fixed? Cause apps doesn’t install.

  59. sig says:

multiupload doesn’t for sice the megaupload-gau.
    are they any mirrors outthere?

    thx…
